Digital Transgender Archive
The 1990 issue of an annual newsletter written by Marsha P. Johnson's roommate, Randy Wicker, in which he provides updates on his life and business, the household, and close friends. This issue is made up of various materials related to the final year of the life of David Combs, Wicker's husband. In addition to Wicker's written reflection on the year, the newsletter contains materials and photographs from Combs and Wicker's wedding as well as clippings of newspaper articles Randy wrote drawing attention to the discriminatory treatment Combs and other patients suffering from AIDS received at New York hospitals and a resulting lawsuit. Wicker discusses how Marsha P/ Johnson helped care for Combs and her participation in their wedding.
